Unit: Entomology and Nematology
Rebecca holds a Ph.D. from the University of Florida where she serves as an Associate Professor and Academic Advisor. Her focus is on teaching and extension and research is with a collaborative team that focuses on urban entomology education and integrated pest management (IPM) tools for urban insect management. Using both informal and formal educational formats, Rebecca teaches undergraduate and graduate entomology courses, directs the UF Entomology Education and Outreach Program and 4-H Insectathon and Bug Camp. She also serves the pest management industry by providing continuing education programs for educators, pest control operators, mosquito managers, and pest management associations. Rebecca is a Board Certified Urban and Industrial Entomologist through the Entomological Society of America and hosts ACE workshops for pest managers.
