Description:
Adult females are very small beetles, only 2–3 mm long, with stout bodies, a dark reddish?brown color, and a hunched?backed appearance. Males are even smaller, about 1.5 mm in length. In adults, the head is completely concealed when viewed from above. The larvae are white, legless, C?shaped grubs that closely resemble those of other scolytid beetles.
