Gulf South VECTOR is pleased to share this downloadable social media toolkit in recognition of National Mosquito Control Awareness Week. Mosquito control professionals work behind the scenes year-round, using surveillance, science, and targeted interventions to monitor and control mosquito populations, track disease activity, and protect the health of our communities. While professionals lead these efforts at the community level, individuals play an important role too. Reducing mosquito habitat at home and using personal protection methods like EPA-registered repellents are simple, effective ways to support these efforts and protect yourself, your family, and your neighbors.
This toolkit was developed to help organizations, agencies, and businesses across the region recognize the work of mosquito control professionals and encourage community participation in reducing mosquito risk.
