Matt is an entomologist with specific interests in behavioral ecology. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego in biology, and a graduate degree from the University of Kentucky in entomology. Ken Yeargan was his graduate advisor who is best know for his work on bolas spiders. He also worked with Harry Kaya on entomopathogenic nematodes for control of diamond back moth.
